Groups

Support that happens alongside other people, not just a clinician

Some things are easier to work on with peers than one-on-one β€” regulation, social connection, parenting. Our groups range from structured programs to small matched pairs built around shared interests.

What’s On Offer

Ways to Work With Others, Not Just Us

Circle of Security Parenting

An 8-week group program for parents and carers, based on decades of attachment research. Rather than teaching techniques to “fix” behaviour, it helps you read what your child is actually asking for underneath it β€” closeness, comfort, or space to explore β€” and respond in a way that builds a secure relationship.

  • Runs in small groups of 6–10 parents, with video examples to guide discussion
  • Suits parents of children from toddlers through primary-school age
  • No need to have a diagnosed child to take part β€” this is for any parent wanting a steadier read on their child’s cues

Paired Sessions

For clients who’d benefit from company without a full group setting, we match two people of a similar age, with overlapping interests and goals, into shared sessions with a clinician. It’s a middle ground β€” more social practice than 1:1 therapy, less exposure than a full group.

  • Can run alongside individual therapy, or as a standalone arrangement
  • Common for social skills work, or simply reducing the isolation of therapy being a solo activity
  • Matching happens carefully β€” we won’t pair people until we’re confident it’s a genuine fit

Interest-Based Groups

Some groups use a shared interest as the actual vehicle for connection β€” our Dungeons & Dragons group is a good example. A clinician runs an ongoing campaign designed around turn-taking, collaborative problem-solving, and reading social cues, so the “work” happens inside something kids and teens are already motivated to show up for.

  • Currently running: a weekly Dungeons & Dragons group for tweens and teens
  • Small, consistent group of 4–6, run by the same clinician each week
  • No experience with the game required β€” character creation is part of the first session

How Groups Actually Start

Groups form around real interest not a fixed calendar

Register Interest

Tell us which format appeals, or what you’re after generally β€” no commitment at this stage.

We Check For A Fit

For paired or interest-based sessions especially, we take the time to match age, interests and goals properly before confirming anyone’s spot.

The Group Runs

Once there’s a solid group or pair, we confirm a regular time β€” in person at one of our clinics, or over telehealth.
